Elba Fishing: The Big Game Fishing opens the CVMM season

2021 Italian Drifting Championship for Clubs

The 2021 competitive calendar of the Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina will open from 6 to 9 May next with an important fishing event, the Italian Drifting Championship for companies 2021, organized in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities and in particular the FIPSAS Provincial Section of Livorno.

It is a type of fishing included in the Big Game Fishing, fishing that involves the capture of both pelagic and sedentary predatory fish: Drifting is a specialty that contemplates the use of a boat drifting or at anchor (the choice of method depends on the weather and sea conditions) and mainly tuna fishing with the exclusive use of sardine as bait and groundbait.
It is an “ecological” specialty as the fish is not caught, but released after measurement in water.
