Let’s hug them Tour 2023 – Elba Island
Elba Swim 647 #6 is the event organized on the Island of Elba by Abbracciamoli, in collaboration with CVMM and Elba Diving Center, with the aim of raising funds to support research, treatment and medical assistance in the field of childhood leukemia.
All this with respect and protection of the Sea, a very important resource for life.
The event consists of 3 routes that can be done individually.
Saturday 7 October 2023:
Elba Swim 647 – distanza 12km
Elba Swim 647 Middle – distanza 6km
Elba Swim 647 OneThird – distanza 3,5km
Sunday 8 October 2023:

FRIDAY 6 OCTOBER
6.00pm Accreditation opening at Hotel Marinella, Viale Margherita, 38, Marciana Marina
7.00pm Briefing, delivery of race packs to those present, registration for the 1k3
8.00pm Dinner at Hotel Marinella (for those who have booked half board or dinner reservations)
SATURDAY 7 OCTOBER
08:00 Opening of accreditations at Hotel Marinella, Viale Margherita, 38, Marciana Marina
09:00 Opening of the “Elba Swim 647” race field at Spiaggia delle Ghiaie: athlete accreditation, briefing for the athletes who will present themselves directly at the start, delivery of labeled supplies to the dinghy, delivery of bags (they must be numbered), control of athlete attendance and preparation for the swim.
10:00 Start Elba Swim 647
At Capo Enfola there will be a main refueling point for swimmers coming from the Ghiaie (the preparation of the refueling bag is the responsibility of the athlete)
10 :15 Opening of the “Elba Swim 647 Middle” race course at Capo Enfola. Delivery of bags (must be numbered). Check the presence of athletes and preparation for the swim.
11:15 Start Elba Swim 647 Middle (approximately 6k)
11:30 Opening of the competition field “Elba Swim 647 One Third” in Isola della Paolina. Check the presence of athletes and preparation for the swim.
ATTENTION: it is advisable not to bring bags to the Paolina Beach but to prepare yourself before going down. If it is absolutely necessary, please limit bags and similar items as much as possible. The bags to be returned to the collection point will be delivered before descending to the beach.
12.15pm Start Elba Swim 647 One Third (approx. 3k )
2.30pm Arrival at the beach in front of Hotel Marinella and closing of the storm gate; refreshment available at the end of the swim.
3.00pm Awards ceremony
8.00pm Dinner at Hotel Marinella (for those who have booked on a half-board basis or dinner reservation)
SUNDAY 8 OCTOBER
08:30 Meeting on the beach in front of Hotel Marinella for the registered relay teams. Briefing, verification of athlete presence and preparation
09:30 Start Elba Swim 647 relay (1k3)
11:30 Arrival at beach in front of Hotel Marinella and closing of the storm gate
11.45am Awards ceremony and greetings
