Sunday 18 May in Procchio Symphonies of Young Talents
A Sunday of celebration with the young people of Elba, last May 11th at the Giardini delle Ghiaie in Portoferraio for the first day of the Festival “Sinfonie di Giovani Talenti”. An afternoon of fun, sharing and meeting, in which the girls and boys of Mammoletta, the staff of the Swap Party, Marco Corsi and the two young photographers Morgana Regini and Vincenzo Monaco animated the park overlooking one of the most iconic beaches of Elba. A party for everyone, in which passers-by were involved who animated the meetings and actively participated.
A thank you from the organizers and participants goes to the Municipality of Portoferraio for the opportunity it offered, supporting an event that was organized, set up and created by young people full of passion and with the desire to share their talents with the rest of the community. The free patronage has allowed the work of Associations, Cooperatives and ETS to be brought to a public place, sharing the goal of enhancing the active participation of citizens, services and opportunities for the young generations of Elba.
“We are happy that our stands were visited by people of all ages – says the project tutor Martina Lo Coco of the LINC-Lavorare insieme nella comunità Cooperative who, together with other young professionals and educators, followed the work of the laboratories and the preparation of the Festival. We involved not only the citizens of Elba but also the tourists, witnesses of a territorial commitment to the development of local culture and identity. The project was born to involve young people in all phases, from the planning to the realization of the idea. We are happy with the success of the initiative that we hope to replicate in the future in other municipalities of Elba: we achieved the goal thanks to the heartfelt and creative participation of many boys and girls”.
A thank you to the young people from Elba who participated in the “Symphony of Young Talents” Festival
“A special thanks goes to the young people and volunteers who participated and believed in the project without whom all this would not have been possible – confirms Patrizia Lupi, director of the Fondazione Isola d’Elba, leader of the initiative financed by AIG – Agenzia Italiana per la Gioventù as part of the public notice “NEETwork: creative connections. Promote activation and inclusion processes of the younger generations”, through the financial resources referred to in the Agreement stipulated with the Department for Youth Policies and the Universal Civil Service of the PCM, approved with commissioner resolution no. 237 of 21 August 2024.We have received great support from the Exodus La Mammoletta Foundation and the Coop.Soc. Altamarea – continues the director of the Isola d’Elba Foundation – who have supported and encouraged their children to participate and carry out the Festival at the Giardini delle Ghiaie. Other Elban ETSs have also been involved as partners, including Incontriamoci in diversi Od and the La Giostra Cultural Association. The Isola d’Elba Foundation has the task of facilitating and supporting social and cultural activities in the direction of sustainable development that takes into account the identity values of the community. Only by working together with the other Elban ETSs can we think of promoting that change that overcomes localisms and distrust in working together sharing a project for an inclusive and participatory future.”
