Chestnut Week 2026: October 18-25 in Marciana and Poggio
The traditional Chestnut Festival Week returns, taking place in the last week of October 2026 in the villages of Marciana and Poggio. Events celebrate the flavors of autumn on Elba. It begins on Sunday, October 18th in Marciana with the Autumn Festival, and the week will conclude on Sunday the 25th in Poggio with the now-famous Castagnata Elbana.
Events that are more than just a festival, which enliven our mountain villages and represent the desire to be together, to tell the story of our region through taste and gastronomic creations.
A week of intense intercultural exchange with initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the territory, its cultural identity and landscape, at creating networks between communities and external entities, at experimenting with creativity, at exploring nutrition, at sharing the challenges of the sustainable economy and at bringing the social dimension of the Island to life.
The appointment with the scents and flavours of autumn on Elba – now in its fifth edition – presents a week full of events: the traditional festivals (Autumn Festival in Marciana and Chestnut Festival in Poggio), numerous excursions and walks, workshops, music, theatre and cultural meetings.
