Tennis Club Island of Elba
The Tennis Club on the Island of Elba is located in Portoferraio, is about one kilometre from the harbour, can be reached by taking the road in the direction of Porto Azzurro, Capoliveri. Facilities available to members and non… INCLUDING TOURISTS, 4 clay courts and one of the fixed cover and two covers pressurised domes only for the winter season.
Our fields are 4, all in red clay. one of them (field 4) is covered with tubular structure fixed with large side openings to ensure a good fresh even in the hottest hours during the summer months. The other 3 are open during the summer season, but are covered with inflatable and removable during the winter. We also have a “wall” by training in the cement and a palestrina sufficiently equipped.
There is also a cosy restaurant to which the access is allowed to all members and, with about 50 seats that offers affordable and a good local cuisine based on fish.
The Tennis School
The T. C. Elba Island organized during the period from mid-September to mid-June of the following year a course, tennis federal for boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 18 years. Students enrolled vengonosuddivisi in groups such as to form the 3 sectors:preparatory or mini-tennis for students in 5th-6th-7th years, training for pupils aged 7 to 18 years and racing for pupils with special technical skills between the ages of 9 and 18 years. In addition to the boys are organised throughout the year tennis courses for adults of all levels.
ELIANA PORRO. National master F. I. T. (Italian Tennis Federation), and Professional P. R. T. head of the school tennis,sectors of training and preparation.Ex-B2, was Italian champion under-16 championship with the team of T. C. Milan Bonacossa, vice-champion of the Italian serie B with the team of S. T. Como. Teaches the T. C. Elba Island since 1992.

GIOVANNI RUSTICI. National master F. I. T. and Professional P. T. A. responsible for the adult industry. Teaches the T. C. Elba Island since 2002.
GRAZIA TRIGONA. Teacher I. S. E. F. responsible of the preparation of the school’s tennis and motor activities for adults.Teaches the T. C. Elba Island since 2001
The T. C. Elba Island participates in the championships at the youth teams of all the categories.

As far as the best results obtained by the boys and girls teams in the competitive, remember the titles of the regional Coppa Italia women in the 1990 and 1994 and reaching the quarter in the board of the national.
To remember the titles of vice champion of tuscany in’ under-12 female in 1995 and in the under 12 male in 1996 . Both formations have achieved in their respective boards of the national knockout stage.
