Changing Course: Paths in Awareness by Sea
The Cesvot – Regione Toscana GiovaniSì call for proposals dedicated to young people from Elba to create opportunities for sharing, aggregation and open-air activities has been awarded to the Fondazione Elba Island.
A project that allows you to observe the island of Elba with a “different” look and to better know your territory with a particular learning method to explore the professions of the sea with a first approach to sailing.
Experiences that will be possible thanks to the sailing trips of the Exodus Foundation, the lessons of the Italian Naval League of Portoferraio and the events organized on land by numerous associations and clubs that actively participate in the project, with the aim of making young people observe the Island with tutors and volunteers who tell about it from various aspects: environmental, scientific, historical, artistic.
Cambio di Rotta project carried forward by numerous subjects
The Cambio di Rotta project will be carried forward by numerous public and private entities, starting with the Port Authority of Portoferraio, the Exodus Foundation, the Italian Naval League Portoferraio, the Incontriamoci in Diversi Association, the Youth Center, the USL Toscana NordOvest and the SerD.
This large group of supporters also includes Arca, Club del Mare di Campo, Associazione vela Tradizionale, Astrofili elbani, Auser, CVMM, Dialogo, Elba del Vicino, Igiene Service, InfoElba, Linc coop soc, Altamarea Coop Soc, Tip Tap One asd, Locman, Simtur Editore, the Proloco of Capoliveri, Porto Azzurro and Portoferraio.
The working group in which the partners participated met in recent days at the headquarters of Exodus La Mammoletta to define the program of initiatives that will last from May to November and that will be made public in the coming days.
The hope of an alternative for young people appears in their lives thanks to a Change of Course that comes from our beloved sea, allows them to discover new horizons, to have a second chance in a world unfortunately dominated by dehumanization, materialism and so much loneliness. Yes, the time has come to change course!
