Project promoted by the Elba Island Foundation and Linc Coop Soc
On Tuesday 28 January 2025 from 2pm to 3.30pm the Sala della Gattaia (via Vittorio Emanuele II, Portoferraio) will host the working group of the “Symphonies of young talents” Festival, a project led by the Isola d’Fondazione Elba, approved by commissioner resolution on 21 August 2024, with prot. AIG/237 n° 237/2024, by the Italian Youth Agency as part of the Public Notice “NEETwork: creative connections. Promote processes of activation and inclusion of young generations”, approved by commissioner resolution on 23 May 2024, with protocol. AIG/ 142-2024.
The group meets to present the experts who will guide the young protagonists in the construction and staging of the Festival. Marco Corsi, singing teacher at the Officina della Musica in Portoferraio and Rio Marina; Novella Morellini, functional psychomotricist and circus coach; Alice Mancini, doctor in sociology specialized in social circus. The consultancy of professionals, experts in the relationship with disabled and vulnerable categories, aims to encourage their integration into the group.
The Elban association Incontriamoci In Diversi will be present at the meeting
The meeting will be attended by the Elban association Incontriamoci In Diversi odv, of which Renzo Mazzei is President, and the coach of the Tip Tap One dance school, Antonella Colli: they will provide a fruitful and expert contribution thanks to their long experience in the social sector and network that was created thanks to the Amici Fragili Project in 2023, winner of the tender for the third sector of Cesvot and the Tuscany Region GiovaniSì of which they were partners, with the Elba Foundation as leader.
The tutors and representatives of the participating ETS will be able to explain the project and make the families and participants aware of the program and its educational and therapeutic potential. But not only that: it will be an opportunity to have fun, discovering young talents from Elba, giving them the opportunity and resources to create “their” music or express themselves in any form of art.
The participants will organize each part of the Festival side by side with other peers, which aims above all to bring out the skills and passions of each member, creating moments of aggregation and social relationships, encouraging inclusion and the discovery of new friendships.
In addition to creating musical or theatrical performances, the team will be able to organize workshops on topics of interest: from painting to photography, from yoga to crafts. Using the economic resources of the project, the skills of the organizers and the ideas of the young protagonists it will be possible to create an interactive Festival, which will have the shape and colors decided by the young people who gave it life.
“Talent Symphonies” Calendar
For those who are unable to participate on January 28th, it will be possible to join the initiative for free, according to the following calendar:
- MUSICAL SPACE, for performances and/or workshop creation: with Marco Corsi – Officina della Musica (largo Pianosa 7, Portoferraio) – every Saturday, from Saturday 1 February 2025 – from 4.30pm to 6.00pm.
- ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SPACE, for theatrical performances and/or circus art workshops, juggling: with Alice Mancini and Novella Morellini – “la Gattaia” room (via Emanuele II, Portoferraio), to be confirmed – every Tuesday, from Tuesday 4 February 2025 – from 2.30pm to 4pm.
- ORGANIZATIONAL SPACE, to follow the various management parts and coordinate the work of the whole team, to follow the training and implementation of the workshops: with Martina Lo Coco (Coop. Soc LINC operator) – “la Gattaia” room (via Emanuele II, Portoferraio ) – every Tuesday, from Tuesday 4 February 2025 – from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm.
Thanks to the Municipality of Portoferraio, which with its patronage free offers the availability of the “La Gattaia” Municipal Hall (via Vittorio Emanuele II, Portoferraio) for the meeting: an opportunity for everyone, and in particular for young people from Elba, who, thanks to the solid network of assistance and cooperation, find their identity and the pleasure of sharing experiences and emotions in play and artistic expression.
