IN MARINA DI CAMPO, CONFERENCE ON THE HISTORY AND PROSPECTS OF PROFESSIONAL FISHING FOR THE “PESCA CON GUSTO” PROJECT
Appointment in Marina di Campo Friday 21 April for the second conference of the “Pesca con Gusto cycle. We will talk to experts, entrepreneurs in the sector, authorities and citizens about “professional fishing on Elba and in the Tuscan Archipelago: history, current events and perspectives“. The meeting will be held at the Barcarola hotel in Via Verdi starting at 9.30 am.
Among the speakers Andrea Rosselli, President of the Regional Port Authority; the Commander of the Port Authority of Portoferraio, Santo Altavilla; Andrea Bartoli, Vice President of Fedagripesca Confcooperative Toscana; Daniele Vitiello of the ACLI Pesca Cooperative; the historian Giorgio Giusti who will speak on the history of Elba fishing; Daniela Mainenti of the board of the Generazione Mare Association and of the YMCA Italia Foundation; Isabella Buttino ISPRA researcher; Annalisa Malfatti President of OP Cittadella della Pesca; Andrea Dini, research geologist of the CNR of Pisa and Filippo Lenzerini consultant of the UNESCO Mab Reserve of the Islands of Tuscany.
The debate will be moderated by Daniela Addis, president of the Generazione Mare Association and owner of the Ambiente&Mare law firm in collaboration with the journalist Patrizia Lupi, Director of the Foundation Isola d’Elba and of the Magazine Enjoy Elba, which had the task of organizing the cycle of conferences together with Andrea Bartoli of Fedagripesca Toscana, on behalf of Cittadella della Pesca soc. coop., the first organization of fish producers in Tuscany, involved in the development of the Participatory Local Strategy of the Flag Costa del Etruschi, the coastal action group set up under the EMFF program 2014-2020 which operates in the fishing and aquaculture sector, involving numerous public and private entities in numerous Tuscan coastal municipalities.
During the lunch break there will be a show cooking dedicated to the local fish and agri-food supply chain, organized by the San Leopoldo Cooperative and the ACLI Pesca Cooperative, who will talk about local fish and traditional recipes. The show cooking will be accompanied by the excellent local wines of the Le Sughere di Montefico farm.

The cycle of initiatives falls within the sphere of the themes that the Fondazione Isola d’Elba a> intends to address in its program of activities on the environment, culture, training and work, social issues and health.

The next appointments Elbani dedicated to Fishing , to decline the numerous issues related to the sea and its protection, the fishing professions, culture and food and wine traditions will be Marciana Marina on April 28, in Rio Marina on May 5th and Porto Azzurro on May 12.
