The campsites are scattered along the whole beach, to its left is Capo Stella, a well-known place frequented by diving enthusiasts due to the rich seabed. On the far right of the beach, with its particular and unique conformation, is Punta Contessa, in the part above is the Laconella campsite.

Lacona beach is the largest in the municipality of Capoliveri, over 1000 meters long and is one of the best known on Elba. The bay is exposed to winds from the south.
